Simcoe Contemporary Dancers (SCD) is excited to announce they will be producing a brand-new dance event in Barrie, ON this summer called Get Out and Dance!
Get Out and Dance! is a re-imagining of SCD’s inaugural outdoor, site-specific dance event which was originally produced in Downtown Barrie in 2009. In celebration of SCD’s 15th Anniversary Season, the company will be bringing back this event in a new way at Lampman Lane Park!
Get Out and Dance! will include 3 events from July 27-28, 2024 that will feature free dance workshops that are open to everyone, a dance performance of a variety of dance works, and a live band to open the show! More details about the line-up will be forthcoming.
SCD is also excited to open a Call to Dance Artists to potentially be featured in the dance performance component of this event. The Call to Dance Artists is now open until May 17th, 2024 at 11:59 pm!
